Fitness Stepping Book

Fitness Stepping Book
SHIPPING INCLUDED Discover why 12 million people in the U.S. participate in step aerobics. Fitness Stepping presents 60 workouts group theory abelian and explains how to create an effective group theory abelian and fun step-exercise program you can do in a group, at a club, or in your own home. Master instructor, Debi Pillarella--owner of BodyWorks, Inc., group theory abelian and star of many fitness videos--and exercise physiologist group theory abelian and personal trainer, Scott Roberts, lead you every step of the way. In Part I readers learn the benefits of stepping. Then they discover how to assess their fitness levels, perfect their techniques for safe group theory abelian and effective workouts, warm up group theory abelian and cool down properly, group theory abelian and choose appropriate shoes, clothing, group theory abelian and equipment. Part II features 60 proven step workouts that vary in intensity: Workouts are evenly distributed across six color-coded zones group theory abelian and vary according to level of difficulty--green workouts are the easiest, red workouts are the most advanced group theory abelian and challenging. Each zone has a variety of workouts based on performance category: Easy Stepping, Moderate Stepping, group theory abelian and Intense Stepping. As your goals change group theory abelian and fitness level improves, you can easily move to higher zones group theory abelian and more challenging performance categories. Part III shows you how to put it all together to organize a program that’s just right for you. It includes sample programs to get you going group theory abelian and information on how to chart your progress toward your fitness goals. Fitness Stepping is a great step toward a firmer, fitter you. About the Author Debi Pillarella, MEd, is the owner of BodyWorks, Inc., group theory abelian and consultant to a number of fitness group theory abelian and health programs. She is also the program developer for FIRST. (Fitness Instructor Resource School group theory abelian and Training). A fitness professional since 1980, Debi has focused on teaching step aerobics since 1989. She has choreographed group theory abelian and starred in numerous videos on step exercise, including BodyWorks Step Right Up, which she also directed group theory abelian and produced, as well as Step Right Up, group theory abelian and Shape magazine’s Totally Legs group theory abelian and Legs, Legs, Legs. Debi has received numerous awards in her field. In 1985 she was recognized both as a Certified Fitness Professional by the Aerobics group theory abelian and Fitness Association of America (AFAA) group theory abelian and as a Gold Certified Fitness Professional by the American Council on Exercise. In 1990, she received an award of excellence for the video Energy Explosion from the AFAA. In 1993, she was awarded the Certificate of Merit for Fitness Programming by Fitness Management magazine. And, in 1996, she was honored for her educational expertise in Who’s Who in American Education. Recognized by IDEA as a three-star presenter, Debi travels extensively to train fitness instructors group theory abelian and conduct seminars group theory abelian and workshops on step exercise. Most recently, she coordinated IDEA’s new Becoming a Group Exercise Leader Program, of which step exercise is a major part. Debi is the author of several articles on fitness, including her contribution to AFAA’s official text, Fitness Theory a

Elementary Abelian group - In group theory an elementary Abelian group is a finite Abelian group, where every nontrivial element has order p where p is a prime.

Representation theory of SU(2) - In the study of the representation theory of Lie groups, the study of representations of SU(2) is fundamental to the study of representations of semisimple Lie groups. It is the first case of a Lie group that is both a compact group and a non-abelian group.

Nilpotent group - In group theory, a nilpotent group is a group having a special property that makes it "almost" abelian, through repeated application of the commutator operation, [x,y] = x-1y-1xy. Nilpotent groups arise in Galois theory, as well as in the classification of groups.

Grothendieck group - In mathematics, the Grothendieck group construction in abstract algebra constructs an abelian group from a commutative monoid in the best possible way. It takes its name from the more general construction in category theory, introduced by Alexander Grothendieck in his fundamental work of the mid-1950s that resulted in the development of K- ...
